Loren Beachy, CAI
Loren currently serves as the president of the company with all department managers reporting to him. He has many years of auctioneering and business experience. He has the Certified Auctioneers Institute (CAI) designation issued by the National Auctioneers Association and won the Rose award for best business plan in his class. He currently serves on the board of directors for the Indiana Auctioneer’s Association. Loren enjoys hot peppers, strong coffee, and thick books. He is a deacon in his church and with God’s help, enjoys fulfilling that calling to the best of his ability. He, his wife Regina, and their 2 daughters and 1 son reside in Middlebury, IN.
Eugene Hochstetler
Eugene brings in-depth knowledge of heavy equipment and its market value. With years of hands-on experience—from working in the woods to owning and operating his own sawmill—he understands the industry inside and out. Known for treating clients with warmth and professionalism, he is also passionate about preaching the Word of Christ. Eugene lives in Middlebury, Indiana, with his wife, Susan, and their six boys.
Mike Langthorne
Mike brings a wealth of experience in marketing and business development, underscored by his successful tenure as President at The Collector Car Network. Mike resides in Phoenix, Arizona with his wife Stephanie and his two daughters, Emma and Allison.
Jonathon Miller
Jonathon leads the Sales Department, overseeing equipment specialists nationwide and managing auction-day announcements. He plays a key role in recruiting and training new agents to ensure consistency and excellence across the sales team. Jonathon lives in Goshen, Indiana, with his wife, Grace, and their three daughters.
Nate Lehman
Nate leads operations and drives process improvements across the company, ensuring systems are in place for smooth and efficient execution. He also travels to assist with auctions and serves as one of Bright Star’s lead auctioneers. Nate and his wife, Lavera, live in Middlebury, Indiana, with their three children. Outside of work, he enjoys singing and serves as a song leader in church.
Kathy Bontrager
Kathy is our talented graphic designer, crafting our fliers, ads, and eblasts with creativity. Outside of work, she finds joy in the outdoors, reading books and spending quality time with friends.
Daniel Stoltzfus
Daniel is an equipment specialist in Pennsylvania. He enjoys meeting new people and helping customers consign equipment to auctions. He resides in Gap, PA.
Myron Nissley
Myron works directly with sellers participating in virtual auctions, guiding them through the process with professionalism and care. He lives in Middlebury, Indiana, with his wife, Renae, and their three children—two daughters, Avery and Sage, and a son, Clay Lewis.
Dale Nissley
Dale is our Virtual Equipment Specialist, supporting sellers through each stage of listing their equipment in our online auctions. With a commitment to smooth, successful transactions, Dale works hard so every seller feels confident and informed. Outside of work, he enjoys golf, sports, and physical fitness. Dale resides in Middlebury, Indiana.
Zak Bontrager
Zak is an Equipment Specialist at the Second Mile Center in Middlebury, IN and serves the IN & MI areas. He’s an outdoorsman who enjoys traveling with his family and making new connections. He, his wife Haley, and their son reside in Topeka, IN.
Daniel Miller
Daniel is an Equipment Specialist for the Lake Erie Equipment Yard in Middlefield, OH. He also has a local hardware store business. He enjoys buying and selling equipment. Daniel, his wife Amanda, and their 9 children reside in Middlefield, OH.
Vonda Yoder
Vonda oversees all company mailings and mailroom duties, provides excellent customer service, and manages office supply orders to keep operations running smoothly. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her nieces and nephew, reading, baking, traveling, and connecting with friends and family.
Mariah Miller
Mariah contributes to lead generation, call campaign management, tradeshow coordination, and administrative support for Myron Nissley. She helps manage client communications and ensures paperwork stays organized and current. Outside of work, Mariah enjoys lake outings, horseback riding, and walking her dog. She resides in Tennessee.
Steve Yoder
Steve helps with local logistics and does repair and maintenance work around the home office. He enjoys fishing and spending time with his family in his free time. Steve resides in White Pigeon, MI.
LJ White
LJ, husband of Michelle, is our long-distance driver, covering trips across the country. During on-site auctions, he takes charge of ordering lunch, arranging auction day signs, and managing parking logistics. He’s known for his love of sharing dad jokes.
Myron Miller
Myron is our Second Mile Center yard manager and handles most of the set up and load out at our quarterly consignment auctions. He also handles the cataloging for those auctions and does an excellent job of lining up the equipment for auction day. Myron, Deb, and family live close by the office and enjoy spending time together in the great outdoors. They reside in Middlebury, IN.
Daniel Wengerd
Daniel is the yard manager for the consignment yard in Middlefield, OH. He does well with cataloging and setting up equipment for auction day. Daniel, his wife Betty, and 3 children reside in Middlefield, OH.
Mose Troyer
Mose is our lead cataloger for onsite auctions. He handles the job of identifying equipment, getting the descriptions correct, and making videos. Mose is also in charge of our equipment yard in Wooster, OH. He and his wife Elsie reside in Millersburg, OH.
Chris Kemp
Chris assists with equipment yard setup, supports cataloging, and helps with load-out after auctions. He lives just outside of Middlebury, Indiana, and enjoys spending time with family and friends.
Brandon Beachy
Brandon is the driver and cataloging assistant for Mose. He hails from the Millersburg, OH area and enjoys disc golf, international travel, and reading about history. His travels to Rome and the Holy Land are among his most memorable trips.
Janice Miller
Janice plays a key role in our Inventory department, managing new inventory and maintaining our listings on all bidding sites. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, baking, playing games, putting together puzzles and spending quality time with friends and family.
Myron Schwartz
Myron joined our team after years of leadership in the RV industry. He and his Auction Execution Assistant, James, handle all the set-up and tear down of auction-day equipment. Myron and his wife Kathryn reside in Goshen, IN and enjoy spending time with their grandchildren.
Cherie Borg
Cherie brings customer service and administrative experience from her years in the Education profession. She handles HR and with Vonda's assistance, manages the Middlebury office. She and her husband Tim run an airbnb in Shipshewana and have 3 married children. Other pastimes include a love of dogs and horses, playing the piano, and volunteer work.
Edward Loberiano
Edward serves our team as an Escrow Assistant, specializing in lien searches and data entry among his various tasks. Outside of work, he teaches college courses and cherishes time with his wife and daughter. Edward and his family make their home in the Philippines.
Dave & Sharon McMillan
Dave is an extremely dependable gentleman and does much of our local driving and logistics support. On auction day at the home Equipment yard in Middlebury, IN - you're likely to find Dave doing a little bit of everything - from parking cars and answering questions to running errands and assisting with customers. Dave is passionate about Family and enjoys spending time with his grandbabies, including an ever growing brood of great-grands. He and his wife Sharon reside in Middlebury, IN and are enjoying their ‘golden years.’
Arla Charters
Arla brings over five years of experience in auctions and real estate to her role as Executive Assistant in Sales, working directly with Eugene Hochstetler. She enjoys answering questions, solving problems, and providing excellent service to buyers and sellers alike. Outside of work, Arla enjoys walking, spending time outdoors, target practicing, and volunteering in EMS—a pursuit she hopes to continue soon in Indiana. She and her husband live just outside Goshen with her stepson.
Butch Wandel
Butch supports Cataloging and Office Operations at the Lake Erie location. Having grown up on a farm and bringing over 45 years of experience in manufacturing, he offers a deep understanding of equipment, processes, teamwork, and customer service. Butch and his wife Maria, a Registered Nurse, have been married for 43 years and live in Chagrin Falls. They have three adult children.
Drew Lehman
Drew leads the end-to-end quality control and cataloging process for high-value auction listings. He ensures every cataloged item meets Bright Star’s standards for accuracy, clarity, and transparency. Drew lives in Shipshewana with his wife and daughter. He’s an avid sports enthusiast and enjoys spending his free time with family and friends.
Aly Lorenzo
Aly helps keep operations organized and running smoothly behind the scenes. She takes pride in supporting the team and ensuring every detail is handled with care. Outside of work, Aly enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and watching movies. She lives in the Philippines with her husband, Ken, and their two children, Ruselle and Soren.
Darrin Bontrager
Darrin manages escrow accounts and oversees the Title and Legal Departments to ensure accuracy and compliance in every transaction. With more than 10 years of technology experience, he also provides internal IT support. Having grown up with a love for auctions, Darrin considers it a blessing to be part of Bright Star Auctions. He lives in Middlebury, Indiana, with his wife, Sue Ann, and their two sons.
James Kraushaar
James assists with onsite auction operations, supports audio and video production during online events, and helps maintain the company’s vehicle fleet. He and his wife, Shannon, live in Wolcottville, Indiana, with their two children and enjoy spending time outdoors as a family.
Rose Nisley
Rose supports administrative operations and ensures day-to-day office activities run efficiently. She lives in Middlebury, Indiana, with her husband, Wayne, and their four children—three sons and one daughter. Rose enjoys spending time with family, selling Norwex products, reading, and working outdoors.
Macy Slabach
Macy supports online auction operations and ensures a smooth experience for bidders and sellers alike. Growing up around livestock and showing cattle and hogs sparked Macy’s early passion for the auction and agriculture industries. She lives in North Lima, Ohio, with her parents, older sister, two younger brothers, and their puppy, Nova. In her spare time, Macy enjoys traveling to auctions, watching cattle shows, and being outdoors with family and friends. She is deeply passionate about her faith in Jesus and strives to grow both personally and professionally.
Wanita Weaver
Wanita supports administrative operations and ensures day-to-day office activities run efficiently. She lives in Shipshewana, Indiana, with her husband, Merv. Wanita enjoys gardening and plans to explore herbal gardening. She also enjoys baking, trying new recipes, and biking with Merv. They have two married sons and one grandson.
